The "Remora Surfboard Bag" (referred to as "the Bag" or "the Product") is designed for the secure transport of one (1) surfboard that correctly fits the Bag's dimensions, when attached directly to a vehicle's existing, properly installed, and rated crossbars (bars that go across the width of the car), at legal and safe speeds. It is not designed for vehicles without crossbars, for parallel bars running front-to-back, permanent installation, heavy cargo beyond a single surfboard, or off-road use.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK:
By purchasing, installing, or using the Remora Surfboard Bag, you, the user, acknowledge and expressly assume all risks associated with its use, including but not limited to, risks of product detachment, damage to your vehicle or property, personal injury, or death. Your use of this Product constitutes your acceptance of these terms and your agreement to indemnify and hold harmless the manufacturer, distributors, and retailers from any and all claims arising from its use.

PROPER INSTALLATION AND USE ARE CRITICAL:

• Strict Adherence to Instructions: The Bag MUST be installed strictly in accordance with the provided user manual and instructions. Failure to follow these instructions precisely, including insufficient tensioning or incorrect routing of the Bag's integrated straps to the crossbars, may lead to slippage, instability, or complete detachment of the Product and its contents during transit.

• Surfboard Fit: This Product is designed for one (1) surfboard that correctly fits the Bag's dimensions. Using a surfboard that is too small for the Bag or too big may cause the board to rub against the Bag's interior, leading to abrasion, cuts, and eventual failure of the Bag's material, compromising its integrity and securement.

• Zipper Security: Ensure the Bag's zipper is fully and properly closed, and positioned in an area that prevents wind from opening it during transit. An open or partially open zipper can compromise the Bag's integrity and lead to board instability or loss.

• Patented Mechanism: Ensure the patented attachment mechanism is engaged and secured as described in the instructions.

• Pre-Trip Checks: Before each trip, and especially after initial installation, ALWAYS thoroughly check that the Bag and its contents are securely fastened to your vehicle's crossbars. Verify that all straps are properly routed, tightly tensioned, and that the hook-and-loop fasteners are clean and fully engaged.

• During-Trip Checks: For extended journeys, or after encountering rough roads or adverse weather, pull over safely and re-check all connections and the security of the Bag and its contents to the crossbars.

VEHICLE AND ROOF BAR COMPATIBILITY & CAPACITY:

• Compatible Crossbars: Use the Product ONLY with vehicle crossbars (bars that go across the width of the car) that are properly installed, undamaged, and rated for the intended load. This Product is NOT designed for use with parallel roof rails running front-to-back.

• Vehicle Manufacturer's Capacity: NEVER exceed your vehicle manufacturer's maximum roof load capacity, as specified in your vehicle's owner's manual. Overloading can cause severe damage to your vehicle's roof, crossbars, and compromise driving safety.

• Product Capacity: The Bag is designed for one (1) surfboard. Do not transport more boards, boards that are too heavy/large, or other cargo not designed for this Product. Overloading can lead to strap failure or roof bar stress.

• Weight Guide: While the Bag is designed for a single surfboard, the user must ensure the combined weight of the surfboard and the Bag does not exceed the vehicle's roof load capacity. CAPACITY AND SPEED LIMITS:

• Environmental Speed Considerations: Be aware that environmental factors, such as strong headwinds, can significantly increase the effective speed and aerodynamic forces acting on the Bag and its contents. For example, driving at 50 km/h into a 50 km/h headwind creates forces equivalent to driving at 100 km/h. Adjust your speed accordingly to maintain safety and stability.

• Driving Conditions: Adjust your speed and driving behavior to suit road, weather, and traffic conditions.

ENVIRONMENTAL AND DRIVING CONDITIONS:

• Adverse Weather: Exercise extreme caution in strong winds, heavy rain, snow, or ice. These conditions can significantly impact the stability and security of roof-mounted cargo.

• Road Conditions: Be aware that bumps, sudden stops, aggressive turns, or uneven terrain can cause shifting or detachment of the Bag from roof bars. Drive cautiously.

• Material Degradation: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight (UV radiation), extreme temperatures, and harsh environmental elements (e.g., saltwater, sand) can degrade the Bag's materials, including straps, fabric, and especially the hook-and-loop fasteners, over time. It is recommended to remove the Product when not in use to extend its lifespan.

DAMAGE TO VEHICLE, SURFBOARD, OR PROPERTY:
The manufacturer, distributors, and retailers are not responsible or liable for any damage to your vehicle (including scratches, dents, paint damage, roof bar damage, or roof deformation), the transported surfboard(s), or any other property, arising from the installation, use, misuse, or failure of the Product.

PERSONAL INJURY DISCLAIMER:
The manufacturer, distributors, and retailers are not responsible or liable for any personal injury, including serious bodily injury or death, to vehicle occupants, pedestrians, other drivers, or any third parties, or for any property damage, resulting from the installation, use, misuse, or failure of the Product.

PRODUCT MAINTENANCE, INSPECTION, AND HOOK-AND-LOOP FASTENER CARE:

• Regular Inspection: Regularly inspect the Product for any signs of wear, tear, fraying, cuts, or damage to all components, including straps, buckles, fabric, foam padding, and especially the hook-and-loop fasteners.

• Hook-and-Loop Fastener Care: The effectiveness of the hook-and-loop fasteners is crucial for secure attachment. Keep them clean and free of contaminants such as sand, salt, surf wax, hair, fluff, and other debris, as these can significantly reduce their gripping power and overall effectiveness. Clean them regularly as per the user manual.

• Replacement Warning: If any part of the Product, particularly the hook-and-loop fasteners, appears damaged, worn, or feels less effective in securing the load, IT MUST NOT BE USED and should be replaced immediately. Continued use of a compromised product can lead to catastrophic failure.

PRODUCT MODIFICATION:
Any unauthorized alteration, modification, or repair of the Product is strictly prohibited. Such actions will void any warranties and may compromise the Product's safety and performance, increasing the risk of failure, injury, or damage.

LIMITED WARRANTY & RETURNS POLICY:
This Product is warranted against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a limited period from the date of original purchase. This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts, at the manufacturer's sole discretion. This limited warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, damage caused by misuse, improper installation, accidents, neglect, alteration, or use contrary to the instructions.
